Hope for today

Where is God when life hurts?

Pain is not proof that God is absent, and faith does not require minimizing what happened.

You do not have to minimize the pain Biblical faith does not call suffering an illusion. The Psalms ask how long, why, and where God is. Lament is a faithful way of telling the truth in God's presence.

You can grieve what was lost without explaining it too quickly. Easy answers often wound people who need presence more than a theory.

Jesus entered suffering Jesus wept, was betrayed, endured injustice, and suffered death. Christianity does not present a distant God watching pain from safety. In Jesus, God came near and carried suffering in His own body.

The cross does not answer every “why” in detail, but it tells us God has not abandoned us. The resurrection tells us suffering and death will not be final.

Hope can be small and still real Sometimes hope looks like getting through the next hour, accepting help, eating, resting, or praying one sentence. Small faith is still faith when it reaches toward a faithful God.

If you are unsafe, considering self-harm, or unable to function, seek immediate professional and local emergency support. Asking for help is not spiritual failure.

IN A FEW WORDS

The Bible makes room for lament. Jesus entered suffering, God remains near to the brokenhearted, and resurrection hope says pain will not have the last word.

A SIMPLE PRAYER

God, I do not understand all that has happened. Meet me in this pain, give me strength for today, and hold me when hope feels small.
